Sept. 13 – 14, 2024

Dallas College Mountain View Campus

We at the Cannenta Foundation are excited to present our annual Hispanic Mental Health Conference.

The Hispanic Mental Health Conference will provide opportunities for mental health professionals from across the state to learn how to serve the growing Hispanic community.

Sessions will be held in English and Spanish on best practices for mental health professionals AND will also provide a track of sessions for the general public to learn more about mental health treatment, understand stigmas, and meet local mental health providers through informative workshops in English and Spanish.

100% of the proceeds of The Hispanic Mental Health Conference will be contributed to the Cannenta Foundation Fund, which goes to support those in our Hispanic community in need of mental health assistance.

The 2024 Hispanic Mental Health Conference offers attendees opportunities to learn about the latest trends in issues and services, share experiences, and build community through relevant keynote speakers, breakout sessions, networking opportunities, and agency exhibits. The 2024 Hispanic Mental Health Conference highlights the incredible work Hispanic mental health professionals provide locally and nationally.
This year's conference promises to be an enriching two-day event featuring distinguished keynote speakers each day. The carefully curated program is designed to provide attendees with uplifting and empowering experiences throughout both days. With a commitment to surpassing the success of the previous year, we anticipate that this year's conference will be even more substantial, offering valuable insights and fostering a sense of empowerment for all participants.

Cannenta Foundation seeks proposals from the Hispanic mental health community for breakout sessions at the 2024 Hispanic Mental Health Conference.

We are especially interested in submissions from innovative projects, cultural considerations, and integrations in methodologies and interventions, cultural practices in mental health, and any outside-the-box subjects that will impact our work. We are currently welcoming proposals in both English and Spanish with the aim of diminishing stigmas and enhancing awareness and knowledge surrounding mental health. These proposals should be tailored for presentation to an audience comprising mental health professionals and community members alike. We encourage individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences to submit their proposals, as inclusivity is key to our mission. Each session or workshop is allocated a one-hour timeframe, allowing presenters to delve into their chosen topics comprehensively. Your unique perspective and expertise are invaluable contributions to our shared goal of promoting mental health understanding and support.

Presentations will be on a volunteer basis, and presenters will not be compensated for their contribution to knowledge and skills. Presenters are welcome to share their businesses or nonprofits during their sessions. Presenters will be given free access to the conference and lunch for up to two presenters.
