Self-Care for Chingonas is an empowering and culturally grounded guide that reframes self-care for Latinas who are navigating burnout, generational expectations, and the pressure to constantly prove their worth. The authors challenge the idea that self-care is more than spa days—it’s about setting boundaries, letting go of guilt, healing generational wounds, and claiming rest without apology—especially for women raised to prioritize everyone else first.

Blending personal reflection, cultural awareness, and practical tools, the book explores themes such as boundaries, rest, identity, and emotional wellness. The authors acknowledge the realities of intergenerational trauma, systemic barriers, and cultural guilt, while offering compassionate strategies to reclaim time, energy, and self-respect. The tone is affirming, honest, and unapologetic, making the book feel like both a mirror and a roadmap.

At its heart, Self-Care for Chingonas encourages readers to redefine strength, honor their needs, and embrace self-care as an act of resistance and self-love. It’s a reminder that chingonas deserve care, softness, and rest—not as rewards, but as rights.
